- President, Ron Paul Salons Inc.& Ron Paul University
I have over 21 years of experience in the beauty industry, enjoying all aspects of hair design, with a concentration in hair cutting & color. Working with many hair care companies in the past, I have a vast knowledge base from which to pull from in order to create a first rate experience for you. I have been an educator, platform artist and director for such companies as Clairol Professional, Paul Mitchell and Sexy Hair Concepts. My unique blend of style, innovative ideas and passionate communication style for hair and the beauty industry has led to a very successful business. I have taken a break a few times from the hair industry to enter into corporate America, and in the past held the positions of Director of Technical Svcs for General Electric, Vice-President of IT for Amerigroup Corporation, and then SVP and Executive Director for The New York Times. I have a double undergraduate bachelors and MBA degrees.
When designing the first Ron Paul Salon (Princess Anne area of Virginia Beach), I was thinking of being different and filling the voids left by other salons. With my corporate background I got to see and hear of quite a few issues that were holding back potential clients from visiting one salon or another. I made the colors extremely upbeat, cheerful and inviting (bright oranges, reds, yellows and natural woods, unique lighting and sound). We added Wi-Fi internet access throughout the salons, giving capability for the professional woman or man to continue working and not lose any productivity while visiting. Knowing that the salon experience is supposed to be a relaxed and enjoyable time, I also installed a large plasma television with professional surround sound stereo, playing DVD concerts and hair shows, and latest manufacturer trends and techniques. The salons have been recognized by the industry elite by being approved to carry the professional products, Bumble & bumble for in-salon services and take home hair care – not many salons can make that statement, so you know you are in the best salon or day spa if they carry Bumble & bumble hair care products. Ron Paul Salon is completely electronically automated in all business aspects, setting the standard for all other salons to follow! My salons have been covered in various National and International industry trade Magazines such as Modern Salon, as well as local newspapers.
In January 2006, I opened a new spacious location, Ron Paul Salon & Day Spa in the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake Virginia. The new location sets the new standard for beauty, elegance, innovation and unsurpassed customer service. The new day spa offers all aspects of hair care, makeup, massage, facial and esthetics, spa pedicures, manicures, and full nail services. We welcome large bridal parties with amenities and packages to please all that make for beautiful memories. Please stop by and see how we do it differently than everyone else and give us the opportunity to make a difference in your life.
I have been asked for a very long time by clients, friends and associates to open a school. Our loyal clientele and peers know that our salons have an impeccable reputation for quality, so in August 2007 I opened the RON PAUL UNIVERSITY of HAIR & NAILS to take our industry to the next level with our graduates. We offer class content that other beauty schools lack, with more in depth training in the “important” areas that seem to be forgotten about in traditional types of cosmetology schools. We continue leading the industry with technology as no other cosmetology school does, using Macintosh computers, 1 on 1 instruction and with plasma tv’s for theory instruction. Since our inception, the look, feel and atmosphere of Ron Paul Salons has been different than any of the competition and the education at Ron Paul University of Hair & Nails will follow this model. I am a State Board licensed Educator in Cosmetology and Esthetics and will lead all of our other licensed educators in giving a much higher level of instruction for our students compared to the “everyday” type of beauty schools that are currently in Hampton Roads. Ron Paul University is not like the “other” beauty schools in the area, I refuse to grow to a size that doesn’t allow the highest level of instructions possible. Our intimate size, leading technology, different teaching approach as well as the superior curriculum will continue to lead where others are only following with higher prices, more students, and lower level of graduate skills. When you graduate from Ron Paul University of Hair & Nails you will have the confidence to enter the industry not only knowing the basics but also the latest trends and techniques.
The course of study offered at RON PAUL UNIVERSITY of Hair & Nails is a full 1500 hour cosmetology course. Our course offers every subject required by the Virginia State Board of Cosmetology. We also offer a series of Career Development classes, which includes effective communication skills, human relations, product knowledge, retail salesmanship, team building exercises, self-image, fashion, and business. We schedule guest speakers on subjects such as aromatherapy, salon environment and salon issues. Our cosmetology course covers units in both practical and theory application. Students are given experience in receptionist and dispensary duties throughout their course.
I have a partner Rick, of over 17 years, a daughter Bethany who is 21, 3 dogs, one of which Kaiser (miniature schnauzer) is very well known and loved by many clients over the years. I enjoy Harley Davidson motorcycles, cars, my dogs, traveling, and being with my partner and friends when not working in the salon or university. |

Hey There, I'm Celine, a Master Stylist with Ron Paul Salons since 2004, and I have been in the hair industry itself since 2002. I love fun and edgy cutting and styling, as well as more precise and "conservative" looks too. I'm a Network Educator with Bumble and bumble, which is a product line carried at our salon. I love to stay up to date with my own education by traveling to NYC through my salon twice a year. When not at the salon, I'm busy being a wife of a firefighter and mother of our beautiful little girl.
Thanks for taking your time to read a little about me and I look forward to seeing you in my chair soon… |

- Master Stylist (Greenbrier)
Susie is one of the few who can actually say she is a native of the Virginia Beach area! If you have been at the beach for a while, you may even be a "blast from the past", as many clients have sat in her chair, realizing they have seen her somewhere before.
She truly takes pleasure in the aspect of being able to make a difference in someone's life simply by doing what she loves. It is apparent everyday, as you will occasionally see her even dancing while she performs the total transformation. Having the knowledge and ability to create the most up to date edgy looks are some of the rewards that come with education and technology offered. Whether you are looking for a soft subtle look, or a more coastal edge appeal, Susie will create the style and help you maintain it at home. She has an unconditional love for everyone she encounters, a true passion for people. You will always find comfort with Susie as she specializes in coloring highlighting and design cuts!
She has three children, a husband of over twenty years (wow that is a miracle right there) and a menagerie of animals that dwell with them. In her spare time she enjoys the beach and traveling. |
